Keuchel struck out 10, ending the game with a 0.00 ERA and 0.71 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: As he's done for most of his career, Keuchel carved up a Yankee lineup in becoming just the third Astro to post double-digit strikeouts in a postseason start. The ace lefty did run into a bit of trouble in the fifth inning, but got some defensive help when left fielder Marwin Gonzalez threw out Greg Bird trying to score on a two-out single. He's now 6-1 with a superb 0.72 ERA in seven meetings with the Yankees since 2015, and figures to face them again in the series.

|Sep. 27 11:21 PM PT12:21 AM MT1:21 AM CT2:21 AM ET2:21 ET6:21 GMT14:21 11:21 PM MST1:21 AM EST1:51 AM VEN10:21 UAE1:21 AM CT-Dallas Keuchel improved to 14-5, allowing two runs - one earned - on five hits and one walk in 6.0 innings, as the Houston Astros defeated the Texas Rangers 14-3 on Tuesday. Keuchel struck out eight, ending the game with a 2.90 ERA and 1.12 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The eight strikeouts were Keuchel's most in any of his 12 starts since returning from the DL in late July. Houston's now co-ace appears to be heading into the postseason in good form, as he's yielded two or less runs while working six innings in each of his past three outings.
|Sep. 22 8:54 AM PT9:54 AM MT10:54 AM CT11:54 AM ET11:54 ET15:54 GMT23:54 8:54 AM MST10:54 AM EST11:24 AM VEN19:54 UAE10:54 AM CT-Dallas Keuchel fell to 13-5, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks in 6.0 innings, as the Houston Astros lost to the Chicago White Sox 3-1 on Thursday. Keuchel struck out seven, ending the game with a 2.96 ERA and 1.12 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Keuchel is 2-3 in his last six starts, receiving no more than one run of support in each game he didn't win. He is scheduled to pitch in Arlington on Tuesday but might not go again next Sunday in Boston so Houston can save him for the playoffs.
|Sep. 16 5:23 PM PT6:23 PM MT7:23 PM CT8:23 PM ET20:23 ET0:23 GMT8:23 5:23 PM MST7:23 PM EST7:53 PM VEN4:23 UAE (+1)7:23 PM CT-Dallas Keuchel improved to 13-4, allowing one run on four hits and two walks in 6.0 innings, as the Houston Astros defeated the Seattle Mariners 8-6 on Saturday. Keuchel struck out four, ending the game with a 2.96 ERA and 1.11 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Of his last four outings, Keuchel was terrific in a pair of starts against Seattle and won both but was ripped in losses to Oakland and Texas. He faces another AL West foe Friday when he takes on the Angels, against whom he's 7-1 with a 2.35 ERA in his last nine starts.
|Sep. 11 9:16 AM PT10:16 AM MT11:16 AM CT12:16 PM ET12:16 ET16:16 GMT0:16 9:16 AM MST11:16 AM EST11:46 AM VEN20:16 UAE11:16 AM CT-Dallas Keuchel fell to 12-4, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks in 5.2 innings, as the Houston Astros lost to the Oakland Athletics 10-2 on Sunday. Keuchel struck out four, ending the game with a 3.03 ERA and 1.12 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Keuchel had allowed only two runs over 21 2/3 innings in three games against the A's this season and was doing well again until the sixth, when he lost control and labored through a 40-pitch inning. He next takes the ball Saturday against the Mariners, and in his previous start in Seattle on Sept. 4, he permitted two runs over 7.2 innings in a 6-2 win. He is 3-0 with a 1.95 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in his last four starts versus the M's.

Analysis: Keuchel's 108 pitches were the most he had thrown in an outing since coming off the disabled list on July 28. He next takes the ball Saturday in Oakland, and he has dominated the A's this season, posting a 0.83 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in winning all three matchups. He is 5-1 with a 1.44 ERA in 11 outings against the A's dating to 2014.

Analysis: The loss dropped Keuchel to 2-3 over seven starts since returning from a stint on the 15-day disabled list due to neck discomfort.

Keuchel struck out three, ending the game with a 2.58 ERA and 1.09 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Keuchel had his second straight solid outing after allowing one run in 6 2/3 innings Sunday at Texas. The 2015 AL Cy Young winner retired 14 of the first 15 batters he faced, with the lone hit being a bunt single by Matt Joyce down the third base line and away from the shift in the third inning. Of the 21 outs Keuchel recorded, 16 were ground balls.

Analysis: He had a 1.67 ERA when he went on the disabled list for the second time with a neck injury, on June 8. The All-Star left-hander has a 10.50 ERA in three starts since his return.
|Aug. 3 9:28 AM PT10:28 AM MT11:28 AM CT12:28 PM ET12:28 ET16:28 GMT0:28 9:28 AM MST11:28 AM EST11:58 AM VEN20:28 UAE11:28 AM CT-Dallas Keuchel fell to 9-1, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in 5.0 innings, as the Houston Astros lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 3-0 on Wednesday. Keuchel struck out two, ending the game with a 2.15 ERA and 1.00 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The lefty ace wasn't great but did improve from his three-inning outing Friday at Detroit in his return after missing almost two months with a pinched nerve in his neck. ''This was a step in the right direction, but his command wasn't sharp,'' manager A.J. Hinch said. Keuchel seemed to agree. ''I feel better, so that's all that really matters," he said. "Command wise is a little iffy, so that needs to get a lot better.''

Keuchel struck out eight, ending the game with a 1.81 ERA and 0.88 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Keuchel, who missed one start with a pinched nerve in his neck, had eight wins and is just one away from matching his total from last year, when he struggled in the follow-up to his stellar 2015 season during which he won 20 games and the American League Cy Young Award.

|May 11 8:04 PM PT9:04 PM MT10:04 PM CT11:04 PM ET23:04 ET3:04 GMT11:04 8:04 PM MST10:04 PM EST10:34 PM VEN7:04 UAE (+1)10:04 PM CT-Dallas Keuchel improved to 6-0, allowing one run - zero earned - on five hits and one walk in 6.0 innings, as the Houston Astros defeated the New York Yankees 3-2 on Thursday. Keuchel struck out nine, ending the game with a 1.69 ERA and 0.87 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The majors' first six-game winner, Keuchel matched a season-high for strikeouts and yielded one run or less for the sixth time in his eight 2017 starts. That's plenty enough of a sample size to declare that the Houston ace has recaptured his 2015 Cy Young form.

|Apr. 30 5:47 PM PT6:47 PM MT7:47 PM CT8:47 PM ET20:47 ET0:47 GMT8:47 5:47 PM MST7:47 PM EST8:17 PM VEN4:47 UAE (+1)7:47 PM CT-Dallas Keuchel improved to 5-0, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in 7.2 innings, as the Houston Astros defeated the Oakland Athletics 7-2 on Sunday. Keuchel struck out nine, ending the game with a 1.21 ERA and 0.81 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: It marked the fifth time in six starts that Keuchel has surrendered one earned run of less. Keuchel matched right-hander Roger Clemens for the franchise record for victories in April. Clemens also won five games for the Astros in 2004. Keuchel makes his next start Friday against the Angels, and when facing them on April 19, he allowed a run and eight hits while striking out seven and walking one in a 5-1 victory. He is 4-0 with a 1.95 ERA in his last four vs. the Angels.
|Apr. 25 6:56 PM PT7:56 PM MT8:56 PM CT9:56 PM ET21:56 ET1:56 GMT9:56 6:56 PM MST8:56 PM EST9:26 PM VEN5:56 UAE (+1)8:56 PM CT-Keuchel (4-0) pitched a complete game to extend his promising start to the season and the Houston Astros beat the Cleveland Indians 4-2 on Tuesday night.
Analysis: Keuchel gave up a homer in the third and ninth innings. The left-hander, who won the AL Cy Young Award in 2015 before a down season last year, held Cleveland to six hits and has a 1.22 ERA in his first five outings.
|Apr. 20 8:16 AM PT9:16 AM MT10:16 AM CT11:16 AM ET11:16 ET15:16 GMT23:16 8:16 AM MST10:16 AM EST10:46 AM VEN19:16 UAE10:16 AM CT-Despite giving up eight hits, Keuchel held the Angels to one run over seven innings and struck out seven in Wednesday's start to improve to 3-0.
Analysis: It's the third straight outing in which Houston's ace has yielded one run through seven innings, and he threw seven shutout frames in his season debut. It's early, but Keuchel seems to have recaptured his Cy Young form from 2015 after delivering a down season last year.
|Apr. 15 8:54 AM PT9:54 AM MT10:54 AM CT11:54 AM ET11:54 ET15:54 GMT23:54 8:54 AM MST10:54 AM EST11:24 AM VEN19:54 UAE10:54 AM CT-Keuchel struck out seven over seven four-hit innings and allowed one run in the Astros' 7-2 win over the A's on Friday.
Analysis: Keuchel has gone seven innings in each of his three starts, allowing a total of eight hits. That's what we call Cy Young form.
|Apr. 9 9:13 PM PT10:13 PM MT11:13 PM CT12:13 AM ET0:13 ET4:13 GMT12:13 9:13 PM MST11:13 PM EST11:43 PM VEN8:13 UAE11:13 PM CT-Keuchel put together another stellar outing, yielding a run and two hits while striking out four and walking one over seven innings but didn't receive a decision in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Royals.
Analysis: His pitching line from Saturday was nearly identical to his first start, when he allowed two hits over seven scoreless innings while striking our four and walking two against Seattle. He next takes the ball Friday at Oakland, where he is 0-1 despite a 2.12 ERA in his last four starts.
|Apr. 4 8:04 AM PT9:04 AM MT10:04 AM CT11:04 AM ET11:04 ET15:04 GMT23:04 8:04 AM MST10:04 AM EST10:34 AM VEN19:04 UAE10:04 AM CT-Keuchel allowed two hits over seven innings before Luke Gregerson and Ken Giles completed the three-hitter for the Houston Astros in an opening 3-0 win over the Seattle Mariners on Monday night.
Analysis: Keuchel (1-0) went 9-12 with a 4.55 ERA last year after winning the AL Cy Young Award in 2015. He struck out four in winning on opening day for the third year in a row. Last year, he didn't pitch after Aug. 27 because of shoulder inflammation. ''I know what I'm capable of doing when I'm healthy. I know how bad I can be when I'm not healthy,'' he said. ''I knew I was good coming in and I was just hoping to get the team off to a good start.''

Analysis: The left-hander did not appear in a game after Aug. 27 last year because of pitching shoulder inflammation.
