|June 14 7:29 PM PT8:29 PM MT9:29 PM CT10:29 PM ET22:29 ET2:29 GMT10:29 7:29 PM MST9:29 PM EST9:59 PM VEN6:29 UAE (+1)9:29 PM CT-Sabathia was diagnosed with Grade 2 left hamstring strain Wednesday and could be out at least four weeks. The Yankees put Sabathia on the 10-day disabled list Thursday.
Analysis: It is a big loss for the Yankees, who were seeing the left-hander pitch like an ace again in his last six starts (0.99 ERA). Grade 2 hamstring strains can take four to eight weeks to fully recover. Though normally associated with runners, Yankees manager Joe Girardi said they also can be a difficult challenge for pitchers. ''It can be an issue when it's a push-off leg,'' Girardi said. ''That's the leg you're using to drive downhill and push off on.''
|June 14 11:58 PM PT12:58 AM MT1:58 AM CT2:58 AM ET2:58 ET6:58 GMT14:58 11:58 PM MST1:58 AM EST2:28 AM VEN10:58 UAE1:58 AM CT-Sabathia exited Tuesday's start against the Angels after four innings due to a strained left hamstring. He allowed one unearned run and three hits while striking out four prior to departing.
Analysis: The 36-year-old was able to finish the inning before walking off the mound in obvious discomfort. It would be a big blow to the Yankees if Sabathia is forced to the DL, as he's been one of the game's best pitchers over the last month with a 5-0 record and a 0.99 ERA in his last six starts.
|June 7 7:44 PM PT8:44 PM MT9:44 PM CT10:44 PM ET22:44 ET2:44 GMT10:44 7:44 PM MST9:44 PM EST10:14 PM VEN6:44 UAE (+1)9:44 PM CT-CC Sabathia improved to 7-2, allowing five hits over 8.0 scoreless innings, as the New York Yankees defeated the Boston Red Sox 8-0 on Wednesday. Sabathia struck out five, ending the game with a 3.66 ERA and 1.26 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The 37-year-old continues to pitch like it's 2007 instead of 2017. Sabathia has now won five consecutive starts while posting a stellar 1.11 ERA and 0.96 WHIP during the streak, and he's yielded two runs or less in each of those victories.

Analysis: Sabathia, who had been 0-5 in seven starts against Toronto since beating the Blue Jays on April 6, 2014, has won four straight starts for the first time since April and May 2012. He has a 1.48 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with 26 strikeouts in 24.1 innings in his last four. He next takes the ball Wednesday against the Red Sox, whom he went 1-1 with a 4.58 ERA and 1.64 WHIP in three starts against last season.

He had been struggling in his previous four starts by pitching to a 9.58 ERA.
Analysis: Pitching on six days' rest, Sabathia won for the first time since April 15. And the fact he got back on track in Kansas City should come as no surprise: He is 13-5 in 21 career starts there, matching the record for most wins by a visitor.
