Moore struck out five, ending the game with a 5.81 ERA and 1.64 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Though his winless stretch was extended to four starts and he's now won just once in his past 11 assignments, Moore did pitch pretty well in his first outing after the All-Star break. The lefty will attempt to end the drought when he next faces the Padres at home on Saturday.
|July 8 11:05 AM PT12:05 PM MT1:05 PM CT2:05 PM ET14:05 ET18:05 GMT2:05 11:05 AM MST1:05 PM EST1:35 PM VEN22:05 UAE1:05 PM CT-Matt Moore fell to 3-9, allowing five runs on 12 hits in 3.1 innings, as the San Francisco Giants lost to the Miami Marlins 6-1 on Friday. Analysis: It matched the most hits Moore has allowed in his seven-year career, and it came six days after he equaled a career high with six walks. You should drop Moore if you haven't already done so considering he has an 8.10 ERA in his last seven starts, allowing 54 hits in 33 1/3 innings with 17 walks and 28 strikeouts.

Analysis: Moore has been inconsistent all season, but had one of his better outings, if a little on the short side. Moore is 1-4 in his past eight starts.
|June 26 11:14 AM PT12:14 PM MT1:14 PM CT2:14 PM ET14:14 ET18:14 GMT2:14 11:14 AM MST1:14 PM EST1:44 PM VEN22:14 UAE1:14 PM CT-Matt Moore fell to 3-8, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks in 4.1 innings, as the San Francisco Giants lost to the New York Mets 8-2 on Sunday. |June 16 9:09 AM PT10:09 AM MT11:09 AM CT12:09 PM ET12:09 ET16:09 GMT0:09 9:09 AM MST11:09 AM EST11:39 AM VEN20:09 UAE11:09 AM CT-Matt Moore allowed eight runs on 11 hits and two walks in 3.0 innings as the San Francisco Giants lost to the Colorado Rockies 10-9 on Thursday. Moore struck out seven, ending the game with a 6.00 ERA and 1.62 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: It was the most hits Moore has allowed this season and his shortest start. It's no surprise that it came at Coors Field, where he is 0-2 with a 14.73 ERA and has yielded 32 hits in 14 2/3 innings. Fortunately, the Giants don't play there after this weekend until September. Then again, Moore has been bad nearly everywhere on the road this season, going 0-4 with a 9.24 ERA in eight starts.

Analysis: It was technically a quality start, but Moore wasn't particularly good in this one - and that's nothing new on the road. He is 0-4 7.80 in six road starts. However, his next start is Monday against Washington at home, where Moore is 2-1 with a 2.57 ERA in four outings.
|May 20 9:42 AM PT10:42 AM MT11:42 AM CT12:42 PM ET12:42 ET16:42 GMT0:42 9:42 AM MST11:42 AM EST12:12 PM VEN20:42 UAE11:42 AM CT-Matt Moore allowed two runs on five hits and three walks in 6.0 innings as the San Francisco Giants defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5 on Friday. Analysis: Moore's last two starts have come against the Rockies, and both have been bad. The left-hander surrendered five runs and 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings in the previous meeting. Now 1-3 with a 5.87 ERA through four starts, he'll try to get back on track in a home matchup with the Dodgers on Thursday.

|Apr. 6 4:16 PM PT5:16 PM MT6:16 PM CT7:16 PM ET19:16 ET23:16 GMT7:16 4:16 PM MST6:16 PM EST6:46 PM VEN3:16 UAE (+1)6:16 PM CT-Moore was reached for six runs, though three were unearned, and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings to take the loss Wednesday at Arizona.
