|Sep. 20 2:32 AM PT3:32 AM MT4:32 AM CT5:32 AM ET5:32 ET9:32 GMT17:32 2:32 AM MST4:32 AM EST5:02 AM VEN13:32 UAE4:32 AM CT-Yu Darvish allowed one run - zero earned - on four hits and one walk in 5.1 innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2 on Tuesday. Darvish struck out seven, ending the game with a 3.96 ERA and 1.20 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Darvish was very good on this night and should have had a victory if not for a collapse by the Dodgers' usually strong bullpen. After beginning September by allowing 10 runs in 7 1/3 innings over a pair of losing starts, the standout right-hander hasn't surrendered an earned run across 12 1/3 innings in his last two outings.
|Sep. 14 9:54 AM PT10:54 AM MT11:54 AM CT12:54 PM ET12:54 ET16:54 GMT0:54 9:54 AM MST11:54 AM EST12:24 PM VEN20:54 UAE11:54 AM CT-Yu Darvish improved to 9-12, allowing three hits over 7.0 scoreless innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants 4-1 on Wednesday. Darvish struck out five, ending the game with a 4.08 ERA and 1.20 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: This was a big relief to the Dodgers and Darvish's fantasy owners. He had lost his three previous starts, getting ripped for 13 runs and 19 hits in 12 1/3 innings. It came one day after Darvish's realization that he didn't need to worry about trying to fix too much. That simplified approach worked, although Darvish wasn't saying what specifically he focused on. ''It's a secret,'' he said through a translator. ''If I say it here, everybody's going to start doing it."
|Sep. 9 9:53 AM PT10:53 AM MT11:53 AM CT12:53 PM ET12:53 ET16:53 GMT0:53 9:53 AM MST11:53 AM EST12:23 PM VEN20:53 UAE11:53 AM CT-Yu Darvish fell to 8-12, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks in 4.1 innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Colorado Rockies 5-4 on Friday. Darvish struck out six, ending the game with a 4.25 ERA and 1.24 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Darvish got his 1,000th career strikeout to reach the milestone faster than any other starting pitcher in major league history, but again failed to deliver a solid outing. The Japanese right-hander was coming off his worst start for his new team, giving up five runs and eight hits in just three innings of a loss at San Diego last weekend. He next takes the ball for Friday's series opener in Washington.
|Sep. 9 9:36 PM PT10:36 PM MT11:36 PM CT12:36 AM ET0:36 ET4:36 GMT12:36 9:36 PM MST11:36 PM EST12:06 AM VEN8:36 UAE11:36 PM CT-Darvish has struck out 1,000 batters faster than any starting pitcher in major league history. The Dodgers' right-hander fanned Rockies slugger Carlos Gonzalez in the fourth inning Friday night to reach 1,000 strikeouts in 128 career games and 812 innings.
Analysis: It was Darvish's sixth strikeout of the game. Gonzalez hit a solo homer off the Japanese star in the first inning. Darvish was making his sixth start for the Dodgers since being acquired from Texas at the July 31 trade deadline.
|Sep. 3 9:47 AM PT10:47 AM MT11:47 AM CT12:47 PM ET12:47 ET16:47 GMT0:47 9:47 AM MST11:47 AM EST12:17 PM VEN20:47 UAE11:47 AM CT-Yu Darvish fell to 8-11, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks in a season-low 3.0 innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres 7-2 on Saturday. Darvish struck out five, ending the game with a 4.09 ERA and 1.23 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Darvish is being counted with Clayton Kershaw as a 1-2 punch in the playoffs. But Darvish, who is 8-11 overall, has spent the previous two weeks working on his delivery. It remains off-kilter. He'll face the Rockies for the first time in his next start, Saturday at Dodger Stadium.
|Aug. 28 9:12 AM PT10:12 AM MT11:12 AM CT12:12 PM ET12:12 ET16:12 GMT0:12 9:12 AM MST11:12 AM EST11:42 AM VEN20:12 UAE11:12 AM CT-Yu Darvish fell to 8-10, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks in 5.0 innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 on Sunday. Darvish struck out seven, ending the game with a 3.88 ERA and 1.18 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Darvish came back from lower back tightness to make his fourth start since the Dodgers acquired him from Texas at the July 31 trade deadline. The right-hander lasted only five innings, again laboring and throwing 95 pitches. Roberts said Darvish was working on mechanical adjustments during his rehab stint and struggled with his fastball command.

Analysis: Darvish left his most recent start on Aug. 16 due to the back problem. He only missed one turn in the rotation.
|Aug. 17 11:01 PM PT12:01 AM MT1:01 AM CT2:01 AM ET2:01 ET6:01 GMT14:01 11:01 PM MST1:01 AM EST1:31 AM VEN10:01 UAE1:01 AM CT-Yu Darvish allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk before leaving Wednesday's 5-4 win over the White Sox after six innings due to lower back tightness. Darvish struck out two, ending the game with a 3.83 ERA and 1.16 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The Dodgers said after the game that Darvish's removal was precautionary, so his availability for Tuesday's scheduled start in Pittsburgh doesn't appear to be in question at the moment.
|Aug. 11 8:47 AM PT9:47 AM MT10:47 AM CT11:47 AM ET11:47 ET15:47 GMT23:47 8:47 AM MST10:47 AM EST11:17 AM VEN19:47 UAE10:47 AM CT-Yu Darvish improved to 8-9, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks in 5.0 innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-6 on Thursday. Darvish struck out 10, ending the game with a 3.81 ERA and 1.15 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Darvish didn't have his best stuff, but he won his second start for the Dodgers (81-33) since coming over at the trade deadline.
|Aug. 4 7:53 PM PT8:53 PM MT9:53 PM CT10:53 PM ET22:53 ET2:53 GMT10:53 7:53 PM MST9:53 PM EST10:23 PM VEN6:53 UAE (+1)9:53 PM CT-Darvish improved to 7-9, allowing three hits and one walk over 7.0 scoreless innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Mets 6-0 on Friday. Darvish struck out 10, ending the game with a 3.81 ERA and 1.14 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Darvish, who was acquired from the Texas Rangers in exchange for three prospects seconds before the trade deadline Monday, made his Los Angeles debut. The win was the first since June 12 for Darvish, who was 0-5 with a 5.81 ERA in his final eight starts for the Rangers.

Analysis: RHP Josh Ravin was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City to make room for Darvish, who allowed three runs on two homers over seven innings in a 4-3 loss to the Mets in June.
|July 31 2:15 PM PT3:15 PM MT4:15 PM CT5:15 PM ET17:15 ET21:15 GMT5:15 2:15 PM MST4:15 PM EST4:45 PM VEN1:15 UAE (+1)4:15 PM CT-The Rangers have traded Darvish to the Dodgers just prior to Monday's non-waiver deadline. Texas will receive a package of three minor league players, headlined by second baseman Willie Calhoun, in exchange for the four-time All-Star.
Analysis: Darvish should take over as the Dodgers' ace until Clayton Kershaw returns from his back injury and bolster the club's chances of its first World Series title since 1988. The impending free agent's first full season back from elbow surgery has been up and down, as his 6-9 record and 4.01 ERA indicates, but he's still averaging 9.72 strikeouts per nine innings. Darvish was hammered in his last start, however, permitting 10 runs in 3 2/3 innings against NL member Miami.
|July 27 8:11 AM PT9:11 AM MT10:11 AM CT11:11 AM ET11:11 ET15:11 GMT23:11 8:11 AM MST10:11 AM EST10:41 AM VEN19:11 UAE10:11 AM CT-Yu Darvish fell to 6-9, allowing 10 runs on nine hits and two walks in 3.2 innings, as the Texas Rangers lost to the Miami Marlins 22-10 on Wednesday. Darvish struck out five, ending the game with a 4.01 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: If this was Darvish's last start with the Rangers, what a way to go. He's struggled at home this season but has a very impressive 2.49 ERA on the road.
|July 21 7:54 PM PT8:54 PM MT9:54 PM CT10:54 PM ET22:54 ET2:54 GMT10:54 7:54 PM MST9:54 PM EST10:24 PM VEN6:54 UAE (+1)9:54 PM CT-Yu Darvish allowed three runs on five hits and one walk in 8.0 innings as the Texas Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 on Friday. Darvish struck out 12, ending the game with a 3.44 ERA and 1.12 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Darvish had his third straight quality start and fifth in six outings. He's pitched at least six innings seven of his past nine starts.
|July 17 8:11 AM PT9:11 AM MT10:11 AM CT11:11 AM ET11:11 ET15:11 GMT23:11 8:11 AM MST10:11 AM EST10:41 AM VEN19:11 UAE10:11 AM CT-Yu Darvish allowed three runs - two earned - on eight hits and one walk in 6.2 innings as the Texas Rangers lost to the Kansas City Royals 4-3 on Sunday. Darvish struck out six, ending the game with a 3.45 ERA and 1.14 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Another hard-luck result for Darvish, who's now gone without a win in six consecutive outings despite notching four quality starts during that stretch. The Rangers have totaled five runs with him on the mound during the drought. Despite his recent lack of victories, the standout right-hander remains an excellent source of strikeouts and an overall high-caliber fantasy option.

Still, batters are hitting just .153 off him in the first inning this season.
